Affording Residential Care On A Limited Income
Sometimes the only obstacle in finding needed services for a senior adult is the question of how to pay for it. When it comes to Residential Care, there is a little known program called Personal Care offered to those who are Medicaid eligible. It's designed to supplement the income of seniors who could otherwise not afford the cost of Residential Care. If you, or a loved one, might qualify for such assistance, here are some guidelines to assist you in establishing eligibility.

1. The Division of Social Services administrates and qualifies persons for this program. Check with the office in your county to apply.

2. When looking at facilities, ask for the program by name to establish if it is offered. In addition, ask what portion of the would be paid out of your pocket.
